Rang a Sé were delighted to be invited to a Mental Health Awareness Day in Saile Community Centre hosted by Kinsale Youth Support Services. The event took place last week during World Mental Health Week.
Many local support services such as community first responders, the RNLI and the fire services were present on the day as well as youth/sport/arts groups. They provided the children with lots of information and skills that may benefit them should they ever need help or support. As well as these information stalls set up for the children there were also talks that took place during the day that educated Rang a Sé about bullying, mindfulness and anxiety.
The children thoroughly enjoyed this event hosted by KYSS and found it very informative. We are very grateful for all the local groups and support services that gave of their time to educate the local 6th class pupils.
