Science Week
First class have been learning about the different materials used for building. We built our own houses with different materials to test which was the best to use. We then tested them against weather such as rain, wind and even testing how durable the structure was. With paper, card and other materials we also tested whether it was waterproof. In the end we determined that the jenga blocks were the best building material out of the ones we used.
It's starting to feel like Summer! On Wednesday afternoon we on a Geography trail on the Scilly Walk keeping our eyes out for plants and animals. We took some photos of the ones we didn't recognise to do a bit more research. Even if we found nothing, what a lovely day...
First Class were so excited to start Gymnastics last Monday with Sinéad from School Fitness Ireland. They did some bridges, rolls and other stretches that helped them build their range of movements to help build up to some new gymnastic tricks over the coming weeks.
