On Thursday, 17th January, we, the pupils of sixth class, Summercove N.S., Kinsale went to Limerick to exhibit our project at the Primary Science Fair. We chose the following question to research: Sleep – are we getting enough? If not, why not? We left school at 6.15 am and the bus reached Mary Immaculate College at 08.30 and were directed to our stand. Firstly, we set up our stand and at 10am we were ready to present our project. When the judge arrived to our stand, we were eager to present our project and we got fabulous feedback from him! We were awarded a glass trophy which we are all very proud of! When we were not on work duty, we were free to explore the projects from other primary schools and go to various shows such as Junior Einsteins Science Show, My Favourite Whale and Fantastic Physics. It was amazing! At 3p.m. it was time to pack up and head back to Summercove. We got back to school at 5:30p.m after a fantastic day! Ní dhéanfaimid dearmad ar an lá iontach sin go deo. As a fabulous treat the following day, Eli Lilly organised pizzas from Apache Pizza to be delivered to our classroom for our lunch. They were...
