In September, sixth class decided to put a proposal forward to partake in the Primary Science Fair in Dublin, January 2015. The class discussed topics which they thought would be interesting to enter in the Science Fair. Each year 120 places are available for schools who would like to participate in the fair and the fair is oversubscribed each year. The question they chose to investigate is ‘What sea creatures inhabit the rocky shore of Kinsale and what adaptations help them to survive this harsh environment?’ The question was entered and after a three week wait, we are delighted to say the project was accepted. Two field trips to the Dock Beach and class research has led to an interesting project which is currently ongoing. Sixth class look forward to their science day in Dublin on Thursday, 8th January 2015.
