We were delighted to receive a visit from the Lord Mayor  of Cork, Cllr. Catherine Clancy, to our school on Friday, 21st March 2014.

The Lord Mayor was warmly greeted by Colette Ní Luasaigh – Principal, Virgil Horgan – Chairperson B.O.M., the President and Vice President of our school – Dara Wall & Victoria Bollard, members of the Board of Management, Parents’ Association, staff and pupils of S.N. Chóbh Chionn tSáile.

Pupils entertained the Lord Mayor with Irish Dancing, music and conversation and she in turn answered questions put forward by the children. Her nephew Emmett Lynch who is  a Junior Infant pupil in our school, presented her with a beautiful posy of flowers.

A fabulous morning was had by all of us and we would especially like to thank Mary Horan and Richard Lynch for their kindness in arranging the visit.
